Today (March 25) is the worst black day in world history. On this day in 1971, a terrible night came at the end of the day in the life of the Bengali nation.
On the black night of March 25, 1971, the Pakistani military junta carried out mass killing in Dhaka as part of their blueprint to shut the voice of Bengali nation forever under infamous ‘Operation Searchlight’.
Several programs have been chalked out to observe the day with due respect. A one-minute symbolic ‘blackout’ will be observed on March 25 throughout the country marking the Genocide Day.
