Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi laid attention on removing red tape to expand trade and business and increase export earnings.
“To ensure better service, red tape must be removed. Harassment in service delivery is not acceptable in any way,” he said.
The minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at a program marking the foundation stone laying of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Bhaban at Agargaon area in the city on Thursday.
Tipu emphasized finding new markets to achieve the export targets set for 2030 and 2041.
“There are many potential sectors to increase exports. The country has a wide variety of exportable products. Exploiting them requires making the right decision at the right time,” he added.
Senior Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Gosh and President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Mahbubul Alam spoke on the occasion as special guests, while EPB Vice Chairman AHM Ahsan presided over it.
