The government has declared three days of holidays in connection with the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election and referendum. Under an election-time executive order, 11 and 12 February have been declared public holidays across the country. In addition, a special holiday on 10 February has been announced for workers and employees in industrial areas.
The decision was announced through a gazette notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday (25 January).
According to the notification, in line with the decision taken at a meeting of the Advisory Council, public holidays have been declared on Wednesday and Thursday, 11 and 12 February, to facilitate voting and election activities. The holidays will apply to all government, semi-government, autonomous, and private offices and institutions, as well as teachers, officers, and employees of both public and private educational institutions, under an election-time executive order across the country.
At the same time, a special holiday has been declared for Tuesday, 10 February, for workers and employees in industrial zones.
