There were mixed reactions on the DSE today.

On the fourth working day of the week, trading ended with mixed reaction of the price indices at the country’s main stock market, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE). The main index increased by 12 points on the day. However, the amount of trading decreased in the taka component on the day.

According to the sources, on Wednesday (December 04), the main index of DSE ‘DSEX’ increased by 12.32 points. Currently, the index is standing at 5,238 points.

In addition, another index of DSE ‘DSES’ decreased by 2.29 points to 1,172 points and the ‘DS-30′ index is standing at 1,927 points by 6.71 points.

Today, shares and units worth Tk 4,765,132,000 were traded on the DSE. On the previous working day, Tk 5,124,888,000 were traded.

A total of 394 companies’ shares and units changed hands on the DSE on Wednesday. Among the companies participating in the transaction, the prices of 139 companies increased, while the prices of 206 companies decreased. In addition, the prices of shares and units of 59 companies remained unchanged.
