The week started with a downtrend

On the first working day of the week, all price indices of the country’s main stock market, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), ended trading in a negative trend. At the same time, the trading volume decreased in the number of taka. This information was revealed by Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) sources.

According to sources, on Sunday (March 02), the main index of DSE ‘DSEX’ fell by 10.45 points. Currently, the index is at 5,236 points.

In addition, another index of DSE ‘DSES’ fell by 0.44 points to 1,166 points and the ‘DS-30′ index fell by 1.86 points to 1,903 points.

Today, shares and units worth Tk 421.95 crore were traded on DSE. On the previous working day, Tk 487.85 crore was traded.

A total of 395 companies’ shares and units changed hands on DSE today. Among the companies participating in the transaction, the prices of 144 companies increased, while the prices of 184 companies decreased. In addition, the prices of shares and units of 67 companies remained unchanged.
