Economics Club of East West University organized the closing ceremony of National Economics Contest-2025 under the patronage of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC.

The Economics Club of East West University organized the closing ceremony of National Economics Contest-2025 under the patronage of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. on the occasion of 10 years of Economics Club on 24th April 2025 at the university campus. The two-month-long event was inaugurated on 20 February 2025. More than a hundred teams from various renowned colleges, private and public universities of the country participated in the National Economics Contest-2025. In the National Economics Contest-2025 organized by the Economics Club of East West University the Back University, Daffodil International University, IBA Jahangirnagar University, East West University, Dhaka Residential College, Adamjee Cantonment College, Notre Dame College and BAF Shaheen College, Dhaka won the title of winner in various categories. The Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, who was present as the chief guest, distributed crests, certificates and prize money among the winners.

Among others, the program chair & Vice Chancellor of East West University Professor Shams Rahman, the Professor of Economics Department & Director General of Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) Dr. A K Enamul Haque, the Director of Electra International Mr. Shahid Ahmed Abdullah, the SAVP of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. Mr. Md. Jakir Hossain and the In-Charge of Public Relations Department of the Bank PLC Mr. K. M. Harunur Rashid along with other renowned academicians were present at the event.

In his speech as the chief guest, Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed said that a prosperous nation needs conscious, open-minded and creative citizens. The youth have immense potential to become such citizens. Organizing such events outside the textbooks instills a kind of competitive spirit among the students as well as develops leadership qualities in them. Moreover, in his speech, he welcomed this great initiative organized by the Economics Club of East West University and wished all-round success to this university.
