The market capitalization decreased by Tk 10 thousand 285 crores.

Since the beginning of the movement, its prevalence has been increasing. The situation turned violent. Which has an impact on the capital market of the country. The market capitalization of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the main capital market, fell by Tk 10,285 crore in the last three weeks of last month.

According to the data, the market capitalization of DSE was 6 lakh 63 thousand 653 crore on last July 11. After three weeks last Thursday, it stood at 6 lakh 53 thousand 368 crore taka. Among the top companies by market capitalization on DSE, Square Pharmaceuticals, British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company (BATBC), Robi Aziata, Renata and United Power have declined in market capitalization during the reporting period. In this, the market capitalization of Square Pharmaceuticals decreased by Tk. 25 crores, BATBC Tk.119 crores, Robi Tk.105 crores, Renata Tk.325 crores and United Power Tk. 498 crores.

Reviewing the capital market situation, the main index of DSEX last week stood at 5 thousand 334 points, which was 5 thousand 414 points in the previous week and 5 thousand 447 points in the previous week. Among other DSE indices, the DS-30 stood at 1,901 points last week, up from 1,933 points in the previous week and 1,953 points in the previous week. The Shariah index DSES stood at 1,165 points last week, compared to 1,183 points the previous week and 1,191 points the previous week.

A total of Tk 2,395 crore was traded on the DSE last week, compared to Tk 2,220 crore in the previous week. A total of Tk 4448 crore was traded in the previous week.
