The drop in the price index caused trading on the nation’s primary stock market, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), to end on the second working day of the week. Concurrently, the primary index experienced a 25-point decline.

The source claims that on Monday, December 23, the DSE’s main index, or “DSEX,” dropped by a total of 25.61 points. The index stands at 5,170 points at the moment.
Furthermore, the DSE’s “DS-30” index is at 1,922 points, while the “DSES” index dropped 6.25 points to 1,155 points.
Today, shares and units worth Tk 303.27 crore were traded on the DSE. On the previous working day, Tk 312.91 crore was traded.
Shares and units of 396 companies were traded on the DSE today. Out of the companies involved in the transaction, 216 saw a decrease in price, while 99 saw an increase in price. Furthermore, 81 companies’ share and unit prices stayed the same.
