The capital market is in a circle of continuous price declines

The country’s capital market is stuck in a cycle of continuous price declines again. After falling for five consecutive working days, most share prices and all indices of the country’s main capital market, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), fell on Tuesday as well. Along with this, the transaction in taka figures decreased.

This information was revealed by Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) sources.

According to sources, the main index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange ‘DSEX’ fell by 26.55 points on Tuesday (March 04). The index stood at 5,194 points at the end of the market today.

Along with the main index, the DS30 index fell by 4.07 points on this day. And the DSE’s Shariah index fell by 8.94 points.

A total of 338.56 crore taka shares and units were traded on the DSE today. The previous working day, the transaction was 381.74 crore taka.

A total of 396 companies’ shares and units were traded on the country’s main stock exchanges today. Of these, 64 companies’ share prices remained unchanged today. 65 companies’ prices increased. The share prices of the remaining 267 companies decreased today.
