The 70th meeting of the Executive Committee of the CSBIB held

The 70th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Central Shariah Board for Islamic Banks of Bangladesh was held on Monday 5th May 2025 at the Boardroom of the Head Office of First Security Islami Bank Plc (Rangos Rd Centre, Block SE (F), Plot No-03, Gulshan Avenue, Gulshan-1, Dhaka-1212).
The Chairman of the Executive Committee, Mr. Mohammad Abdul Mannan, was present as a member of this meeting, Chairman of the Central Sharia Board, Prof. Muhammad Ghiyas Uddin Talukder, Vice Chairman of the Board Dr. Md Anwar Hossain Mollah, Board of Directors of Union Bank Plc and Chairman of Shariah Supervisory Committee of ICB Islamic Bank and Dhaka Bank Plc Md Farid Uddin Ahmad, Chairman of Shariah Supervisory Committee of Agrani Bank and The Premier Bank Plc Mufti Mohammad Muhibbullahil Baki An-Nadabi, Chairman of Shariah Supervisory Committee of Mercantile Bank Plc and Bank Asia Shariah Supervisory Committee Member Secretary of PLC Maulana Shah Mohammad Wali Ullah, Shahjalal Islami Bank Plc Managing Director Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC Managing Director (ongoing duty) Md Omar Farooq Khan, First Security Islami Bank PLC Managing Director (ongoing duty) Abu Reza Md Yahya and Export Import Bank of Bangladesh Limited Managing Director (ongoing duty) Md. Akhtar Hossain. The meeting was conducted by the member secretary of the executive committee and the secretary general of the board Mr. Abdullah Sharif.
In the meeting, important discussions and decisions were made on various policy-making issues including revising the board’s expenditure policy, reviewing the scope of responsibilities and performance of the executive committee and restructuring the CSB Islamic Banking Award nomination committee.
