Md. Abdul Based, Panchagarh District Correspondent: A preparatory meeting was held in Panchagarh to celebrate the 164th birth anniversary of world poet Rabindranath Tagore and the 126th birth anniversary of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.

A preparatory meeting was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner on Monday afternoon to celebrate the 164th birth anniversary of world poet Rabindranath Tagore and the 126th birth anniversary of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.

The function was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner Suman Chandra Das and was attended by Amir Mohammad Iqbal Hossain Hossain and Secretary Mohammad Delwar Hossain of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Panchagarh District Branch, Principal of Panchagarh Government Technical School and College, Md. Abdul Matin Dali, poet and writer Sarkar Haider, poet and writer Abdur Rahim, poet and writer Md. Shafiullah Ripon, audio writer Abdul Baset, officials and employees of the Shilpakala Academy, District Information Officer, workers of various organizations, actors, artists, educationists and Baul artists and cultural figures. Various programs were taken up on the occasion of the 164th birth anniversary of Vishwakabi Rabindranath Tagore and the 126th birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam on May 8, 2025. The function was conducted by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) and Acting Deputy Commissioner Subir Saha.
