Summit Power has sought till March to declare the dividend

Summit Power Limited, a listed company in the capital market, has sought time till March 31 next year to take a decision regarding the declaration of dividend for the financial year ended June 30, 2024. This application has been made to the capital market regulator Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).

The notification highlights some statistics on the current status of Summit Group and Summit Power’s power plants.

The notification states that Summit Corporation Limited currently operates a total of 18 power plants with a total capacity of 2,255 MW under its own ownership. In addition, Summit operates Bangladesh’s second Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) with a capacity of 500 MMCF/D.

Of these 18 power plants under Summit Corporation Limited, Summit Power Limited (SPL), a listed company on the Bangladesh Stock Exchange, owns 15 power plants with a total capacity of 975 MW.

Currently, Summit Power Limited owns 10 other power plants with a total capacity of 808 MW.

Summit Power Limited has requested an extension of time till March 31, 2025 to submit the audited financial report and unaudited financial statements for the first and second quarters by the end of the financial year (June 30, 2024) along with the declaration of dividend.

Summit Power Limited expects to hold the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) between April-May 2025.
