Stocks extend losing streak as turnover falls to Tk340 cr

B Mirror Desk : The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the nation’s primary stock market, saw a fall in its overall price index after the end of trading on the third working day of the week. This was accompanied by a decline in the share prices of the 214 companies involved in the transaction. In addition, fewer transactions were made than on the day before.

The source claims that the DSE’s main index, “DSEX,” dropped 18.27 points on Tuesday, April 22. The index is at 5,026 points right now. Furthermore, the ‘DS-30’ index dropped 3.52 points to 1,859 points, while another DSE index, ‘DSES,’ dropped 4.67 points to 1,121 points.

Today, Tk 340 crore 4 lakh 66 thousand worth of shares and units were traded on the DSE. Tk 359 crore 28 lakh 60 thousand was exchanged on the previous working day.
