Stock market trading will continue today

All the offices and courts of the country are opening from Tuesday. The stock market is also opening with that.

Trading in the market will start at 10 am on this day. And it will continue till 2.30 pm.

Acting Managing Director of Dhaka Stock Exchange Satvik Ahmed Shah confirmed this to the media.

Trading in the stock market was closed on Monday due to the general holiday given by the government’s executive order.

Last Saturday, Sheikh Hasina’s government announced a three-day general holiday from Monday through an executive order to deal with the non-cooperation program of the anti-discrimination student movement.

For this reason, all educational institutions including government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, private institutions, banks, insurance, stock market, factories and schools, colleges, madrasas, and universities were closed on Monday.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled the country on Monday afternoon in the face of mass protests by students. A notification sent by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday evening said that all offices and educational institutions will be opened on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Bank said that from Tuesday commercial banks in the country will run on a normal schedule and transactions can be done according to the previous schedule.

The Central Bank has informed that transactions will continue in the bank branches from 10 am to 4 pm. And the bank will be open till 6 pm. At the same time, all types of normal transactions will continue in the bank branches.

Under this, the authorities decided to start trading in the stock market.
