After completing three years of service as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Standard Bank, Mr. Md. Habibur Rahman formally bid farewell to the bank. On this occasion, a farewell ceremony was organized on his last working day, 29 January 2026 at the Bank’s Boardroom, Head Office, Dhaka.

The honorable Chairman of the Bank Mr. Mohammed Abdul Aziz presided over the ceremony where Vice Chairman Gulzar Ahmed, Directors Ferozur Rahman, S.A.M. Hossain, Ferdous Ali Khan and Independent Director Khondoker Rumy Ehsanul Huq were present.

The program was conducted by the Deputy Managing Director of the Bank Md. Siddiqur Rahman. Senior Executives and Head of all divisions of the bank attended the program. In his farewell speech, Mr. Habib recalled memories of his professional career and expressed gratitude to all concerned for their cooperation in the overall development and success of the bank. He urged everyone to remain committed to whole heartedly continue contributing to ensure the bank’s progress in the future.

Speakers at the event praised Mr. Habib’s dynamic leadership, farsighted decisions and professionalism. At the end, on behalf of the bank the Honorable Chairman Mr. Mohammed Abdul Aziz presented flowers, crest and gifts to the outgoing Managing Director and wished him good health, long life and every success.
