The agricultural goods exporters of the country have demanded technical and financial support from the authorities for developing quality of products and increasing volume of exports.
At a view exchange meeting, organized by the Bangladesh Hortex Foundation on Sunday, they suggested easing of supply chain management for agricultural goods, improving packaging, international market connectivity with collection of information regarding demand and specific conditions on agricultural products.
The Hortex Foundation is working on formulating a five-year long strategy to increase agricultural goods exports from Bangladesh to the international market.
Additional Secretary of the Agriculture Ministry, Rabindra Shree Barua was Chief Guest at the meeting, presided over by the Hortex Foundation Managing Director, Dr. Rafiqul Amin. Bangladesh Agriculture Research Council Director Abdus Salam, Agriculture Development Directorate Director Rezaul Karim, and Hortex Foundation Joint-Director Mitul Kumar Saha also spoke there.
The meeting emphasized on agricultural merchandising skills and product-wise strategies, required for increasing agricultural goods exports.
