Mrinal Kanti Roy, Tangail: Like the rest of the country, the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations have started in Tangail. While visiting the examination centers, Deputy Commissioner & District Magistrate Sharifa Haque said that the total number of SSC and equivalent examination candidates in the district is 48,233. The examinations are going on at 47 venues in 85 centers. SSC 36,793, Dakhil 6,588, SSC (Vocational) 4,800 and Vocational (Dakhil) 52. The examinations are going on peacefully at all centers and venues. No problem has been observed so far.
At this time, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sanjoy Kumar Mohanta, Senior Assistant Commissioner Rakibul Islam, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Md Mohaiminul Islam, Upazila Executive Officer Nahida Akhter, Assistant Director Tahlima Jannat, District Education Officer Rebeka Sultana was present.
It is worth noting that the SSC and equivalent examinations began at 10 am on Thursday with the first Bengali paper, and a total of 547 students were absent from the first examination.
