Southeast Bank PLC. recently signed participation agreements with Bangladesh Bank under Cluster Financing Scheme and FSFDCMSME Refinancing Scheme through Bangladesh Bank’s SME and Special Programs Department to strengthen financing support for cottage, micro, small and medium enterprises at Bangladesh Bank.

Under the schemes, CMSME customers will be able to avail financing facilities at a concessional interest rate, enhancing access to affordable financing for entrepreneurs and small businesses nationwide. The initiatives will help expand financing support for cluster-based industries, micro and small entrepreneurs, and financially underserved CMSME sectors, contributing to sustainable economic growth and employment generation.

In presence of Nurun Nahar, Deputy Governor and Husne Ara Shikha, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, the agreement was signed by Nawshad Mustafa, Director, SME & Special Programs Department and Md. Khalid Mahmood Khan, Managing Director and CEO, Southeast Bank PLC. Among others, Md. Masum Uddin Khan, Deputy Managing Director and Mohammad Ashikuzzaman Khan, Executive Vice President & Head of SME and Agri-Credit Division were also present.
