Southeast Bank PLC and Academia Sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

Southeast Bank PLC. and Academia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Bank’s head office recently. This partnership reflects Southeast Bank’s commitment to providing innovative financial services to educational institutions, students, and parents. Mr. Nuruddin Md. Sadeque Hossain, Managing Director of Southeast Bank PLC. and Dr. Md. Kutub Uddin, Managing Director of Academia, exchanged the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Under this MoU, Southeast Bank PLC will provide various financial services to Academia, including the comprehensive education management platform Southeast EduFin. This platform will streamline tuition fee collection, payroll banking, and the special school banking program “TAROKA” for students. Additionally, Academia will be able to utilize the corporate payment module system to facilitate vendor payments and fund transfers seamlessly.

Southeast EduFin is an integrated digital platform designed to enhance the efficiency of administrative and academic activities in schools, colleges, and universities. This platform offers advanced features such as fee management, attendance tracking, grading system management, and seamless communication between parents and teachers. Moreover, it will facilitate fee payments through over-the-counter transactions, internet banking, mobile financial services (MFS), and other integrated banking solutions provided by Southeast Bank.

During the event, Managing Director of Southeast Bank PLC, Mr. Nuruddin Md. Sadeque Hossain, stated: “This partnership is a significant step towards maintaining our commitment to financial innovation and contributing to the advancement of the education sector in Bangladesh. Through this agreement, Academia will be able to streamline its operational processes and offer students and parents more efficient, technology-driven financial solutions.”

Mr. Abidur Rahman Chowdhury and Mr. Masum Uddin Khan, Deputy Managing Directors of Southeast Bank PLC.  along with other senior officials from both the organizations were present in the signing ceremony.
