Southeast Bank introduces Google Pay for Visa cardholders

Southeast Bank PLC. has introduced Google Pay for Visa credit, debit, and prepaid cardholders, enabling customers to make fast, secure, and contactless payments using Android phones both locally and internationally.

Through this service, cardholders can easily add their cards to Google Wallet and perform transactions at millions of merchant locations worldwide. The service eliminates the need to carry physical cards, offering enhanced convenience, flexibility, and a seamless payment experience across both on POS machines and online platforms.

‘Google Pay’ incorporates advanced security features, including encryption and tokenization, ensuring that actual card details are never shared with merchants. This provides an added layer of protection for every transaction, making digital payments safer and more reliable.

The initiative reflects Southeast Bank’s ongoing commitment to strengthening digital payment infrastructure, enhancing customer convenience, and supporting Bangladesh’s transition towards a cashless economy.

To mark the launch, the Bank has introduced a range of attractive promotional offers for its cardholders, including a ‘Sign-up Reward’, 10% cashback on the first Google Pay transaction, and a ‘Spend & Win’ campaign designed to encourage frequent usage.

‘Google Pay’ was formally launched at the Southeast Bank’s Head Office in Dhaka in the presence of Md. Khalid Mahmood Khan, Managing Director & CEO of Southeast Bank PLC., and Sabbir Ahmed Khan, Country Manager of Visa. Also present were Abidur Rahman Chowdhury, Additional Managing Director, Md. Mahbub Alam, Additional Managing Director of Southeast Bank PLC. along with other senior officials from both organizations.
