Solar Equity Venture plans to raise capital from stock market

Solar Equity Venture PLC has taken a strategic initiative to expand investment in Bangladesh’s renewable energy sector and raise long-term capital through the capital market.

As part of the initiative, the company has signed an issue management agreement with LankaBangla Investments PLC and Southeast Bank Capital Services Ltd.

Under the agreement, LankaBangla Investments and Southeast Bank Capital Services will jointly act as issue managers for Solar Equity Venture’s capital-raising activities and proposed initial public offering (IPO), subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Solar Equity Venture PLC by its Managing Director Ejaz Al Qudrat A Majid. LankaBangla Investments PLC Chief Executive Officer Iftekhar Alam and Southeast Bank Capital Services Ltd Managing Director Mohammad Mominul Haque, CFA, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.

LankaBangla Securities PLC Chief Executive Officer and Director Khandaker Saffat Reza attended the signing ceremony as a witness.
