Social Islami Bank launches Remittance Campaign

Social Islami Bank in association with Western Union has launched a special Remittance Campaign to encourage remittance inflow through banking channels on Monday at the bank’s head office. 

Zafar Alam, Managing Director and CEO, inaugurated the campaign as chief guest while Forkan Ullah, Deputy Managing Director, presided over the program. Abdul Hannan Khan & Habibur Rahman, Deputy Managing Directors of SIBPLC, and Shihab Hasan, Regional Operations Manager, South Asia, Western Union, spoke at the event.

Mozharul Haque, Chief Remittance Officer, Moniruzzaman, Head of Marketing & Brand Communication, Ahsan Habib, Head of Treasury, Taohidur Rahman, Senior Specialist, Business Development Bangladesh, Western Union, Divisional Heads and senior executives of head office were also present at the event. Zonal Heads, branch managers, and sub-branch in-charges also joined the program virtually.

Zafar Alam, Managing Director and CEO, stated that remittance is an indispensable part of our economy. He also added that this campaign aims at encouraging the Bangladeshi expatriates to send remittance using the banking channel. Any remittance receivers will be awarded with gifts for sending remittance through Western Union. At the end of the campaign, one lucky winner will get the opportunity to perform Umrah.
