B Mirror Report: The auditor has failed to verify the existence of inventory and fixed assets of Krishibid Seed, a company listed on the SME market of the stock exchange. The company has also been facing a risk of losses due to prolonged non-recovery of receivables from customers.
According to the auditor, they could not confirm the existence of inventory reported in the financial statements as of 30 June 2025, nor could they verify the cost of finished goods and work-in-progress. This was due to the company’s failure to provide sufficient supporting documents and evidence.
The company reported fixed assets worth Tk 29.98 crore in its financial statements. However, it could not provide the auditor with a fixed asset register detailing the purchase date, cost, depreciation rate, and written-down value of those assets. As a result, the auditor was unable to confirm the accuracy of the reported fixed asset value.
Meanwhile, the auditor also noted that outstanding dues from various customers have remained unpaid for a long period, creating a significant risk of losses for the company.
Krishibid Seed, which was listed on the stock market in 2022, has a paid-up capital of Tk 30 crore. Of this, 62.50 percent is held by general investors (excluding sponsors and directors). On Sunday (22 February), the company’s share price stood at Tk 9.30.
