The Administrator Team of Social Islami Bank PLC held a meeting on strengthening recovery activities with Managers of 32 branches under its Dhaka South Zone on 16 November 2025. The meeting was arranged with participants joining in person at the Bank’s Head Office, while others attending via zoom.

Mr. Md. Salah Uddin, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank and Administrator of Social Islami Bank, attended as Chief Guest. Mr. Md. Rashedul Islam, Associate of Administrator and Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank, Mr. Md. Nazmus Saadat, Deputy Managing Director, Divisional Heads and Branch Managers were also present.

Mr. Md. Salah Uddin highlighted that, during this critical phase of the Bank’s restructuring, recovery must receive highest priority. He urged Branch Managers to maintain regular contact with defaulting clients and intensify collection efforts.

He further called for quick identification of non-performing investments, adoption of effective recovery plans, continuous follow-up based on clients’ business condition, and stronger documentation and monitoring. He emphasized improved coordination between branches and recovery teams to ensure visible progress in every account.
