Shippers’ Council of Bangladesh (SCB) organized a Doa and Iftar Mahfil on Tuesday at Dhanmondi of the capital. 

SCB Chairman  Rezaul Karim presided over the Doa & Iftar Mehfil. Hon’ble Chairman Standing Committee on Ministry of Food and former Minister for Shipping freedom fighter Mr. Shajahan Khan, MP was the Chief Guest. Senior Vice Chairman Ariful Ahsan, Directors and members and many distinguished guests were present on the occasion.

During the Doa and Iftar Mehfil, all pray for the recovery of the Bangladeshi-owned ship MV Abdullah, which was hijacked by Somalia pirates and for the safe return of the 23 sailors. Also, they expressed their satisfaction for taking steps by the Bangladesh government and the ship owner regarding the rescue of the ship with 23 sailors.
