Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC (SJIBPLC) published its “Sustainability Report-2024” and it was formally inaugurated on the 27th September 2025 during the Risk Management Conference in Corporate Head Office of the Bank.
With the slogan, ‘Moving Towards Sustainability & Decarborization for Present & Future’, the Report outlines SJIBPLC’s initiatives to generate value for its stakeholders through social and environmental responsibility and a low-carbon economy. This is the first time the Bank calculated GHG emission in accordance with the guidelines of Bangladesh Bank, Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI) standard.
Among others, the Vice Chairman of the board of directors of the Bank Mr. Mohammed Younus, the Independent Director Mr. Md. Reazul Karim, FCMA, the Director of Department of Off-Site Supervision of Bangladesh Bank Mr. A. N. M. Moinul Kabir, the Managing Director of SJIBPLC Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, the Additional Managing Director of the Bank Mr. Imtiaz U. Ahmed, the Deputy Managing Director Mr. M. M. Saiful Islam, the SEVP & Company Secretary Mr. Md. Abul Bashar, the SEVP & CFO Mr. Md. Jafar Sadeq, FCA and other senior officials of the Bank were also present in the launching program.
