Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. organized a Financial Literacy Seminar in the district of Cumilla on remittance for raising social awareness for legal channel of expatriate income-for the wage earners and their family members on Saturday. The SEVP & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Shahjalal Islami Bank Mr. Jafar Sadeq, FCA was present as chief guest in the program.

The program was attended by approximately 30 participants who were all wage earners and their family members. The objective of the program was to encourage people of Cumilla district for receiving remittance from abroad through formal and legal ways instead of informal ways like hundi. 

Among others the manager of Cumilla branch of the Bank Mr. Kamruz Zaman , the manager of Gunabati Branch of the Bank Mr.  Yusuf Imran, the manager of Brahmanpara Branch Mr. Gazi Golam Rabbi, the manager of Debidwar Branch Mr. Moin Uddin were also present in the program.
