Shahjalal Islami Bank organized a financial literacy workshop

Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. organized a Half day-long financial literacy workshop on the uses of cashless transactions at Uttara Branch on 20 June 2026, jointly organized by the Risk Management Division of the Bank’s Corporate Head Office and its’ Uttara Branch. The Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, was present as the chief guest in the financial literacy workshop. The six branches of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. and their respective Customers participated in the workshop. The program was moderated by Mr. Mohammed Abu Shayem, Head of the Risk Management Division and Financial Inclusion Unit of the Bank.

The Head of IT Division & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Bank Mrs. Khandker Bedoura Mahbub and the Head of the Bank’s Card Division, Mr. Md. Riad Hossain were discussed elaborately in uses of cashless transactions. The Manager of Uttara Branch of the Bank Mr. Abu Hanif delivered speech in the program. Among Others the Manager of Airport Road Branch of the Bank Mr. Shamsul Arifin Ferdose, the Manager of Savar Branch Mr. Abu Naser Ahmed, the Manager of the Joydevpur Chowrasta Branch Mr. Mohammad Shahabuddin Mazumder, the Manager of Ashkona Branch Mr. Ahsanul Hoque Ferdous and the In-charge of the DSE Annex Building Sub-Branch Ms. Mosammat Layla-Nur Smrity were present at the program.

The discussants presented details on the uses and benefits of cashless transactions in the Half day-long workshop. The participants expressed optimism that cashless transactions would save customers time and make their transactions more risk-free.
