Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC has achieved sustainable Award from Bangladesh Bank for sustainable rating-2024. The Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC Mosleh Uddin Ahmed received the Crest from the Governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur at a ceremony held at Bangladesh Bank on 20 August 2025. Among others, the Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank Nurun Nahar, the Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank Manoj Kumar Howlader, the Director of Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank Chowdhury Liakat Ali and the Deputy Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank M. M. Saiful Islam were present at the ceremony.
Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC has achieved this prestigious recognition for its satisfactory progress & excellence in various indicators of banking activities in 2024. Bangladesh Bank has been giving this award since 2020 based on the categories of Sustainable Finance, Green Refinance, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Core Banking Sustainability and Banking Services. It is expected that achieving such prestigious recognition from Bangladesh Bank will further accelerate Shahjalal Islami Bank’s banking activities and further strengthen the bank’s relationship with its customers.
