An important seminar titled “Importance of Technical Education in the Context of Bangladesh and the Role of Bashundhara Technical Institute (BTI) in the Promotion of Technical Education” was held at the Keraniganj Upazila Parishad Auditorium.
Mr. Rinat Fouzia, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Keraniganj was the chief guest at the event. Major Md. Mohsinul Karim (Retd.), Senior Executive Director, Bashundhara Group, Mr. A.K.M. Nowsherul Alam, Senior GM, Bashundhara Foundation and Mr. Kazi Md. Shawkat-ul Islam, Principal, Bashundhara Technical Institute were present as special guests. The event was presided over by Mr. Md. Zakir Hossain Molla, Upazila Secondary Education Officer.
Special guest Major Md. Mohsinul Karim (Retd) said, “Bashundhara Group has been working to improve the quality of technical education for a long time out of social responsibility. BTI is a successful example of this, which is creating skilled manpower across the country. Mr. Karim also said that Bashundhara Technical Institute wants to be a partner in improving the quality of life in the Keraniganj area by expanding technical education. He sought the cooperation of everyone present in this regard.”
In the seminar, Mr. Kazi Md. Shawkat-ul Islam, Principal, Bashundhara Technical Institute, highlighted the current status of technical education, its contribution to employment, and BTI’s training programs and successes. BTI is developing students through hands-on training with dedication and professionalism, who later find employment in various industries in the country and abroad.
Mr. A.K.M. Nowsherul Alam said in his speech, “The main driving force of Bangladesh’s development is our huge young population. If this population cannot be transformed into skills, it will become a burden for us. On the other hand, by transforming these youth into skilled human resources through technical education, we can build a productive and sustainable economy.”
In his speech as the president, Mr. Md. Zakir Hossain Molla said, “Students can easily become self-reliant by taking technical education. Through this, it is also possible to make a major contribution to the country’s economy.”
The seminar was attended by the head teachers of all secondary schools in Keraniganj Upazila. Through this seminar, awareness about technical education was raised in Keraniganj and the role of BTI was further highlighted.
