Saudi Arabia issues new umrah guidelines for Ramadan

B Mirror Report: To ensure safety, discipline, and smooth worship during the holy month of Ramadan, the Saudi government has issued new guidelines for Umrah pilgrims.

Authorities stated that excessive crowding often occurs in the central area before and after prayers. Pilgrims have been urged to use designated routes, follow signboards, and comply with instructions from security personnel. Digital signals have been installed at mosque entrances green indicates space available, while red means full capacity.

To avoid traffic congestion, the use of private vehicles has been restricted. Pilgrims are encouraged to use buses, taxis, and the Haramain High-Speed Railway. Motorcycles, bicycles, and unauthorized vehicles are prohibited in the central area.

Separate prayer areas and electric carts have been arranged for elderly worshippers and those with special needs. Pilgrims are also advised not to bring children into densely crowded areas.

Additionally, pilgrims are required to drink sufficient water to avoid dehydration, take rest when necessary, follow fire safety regulations, and obtain digital permits. Carrying weapons, begging, unauthorized selling, and obstructing movement are strictly prohibited, according to the authorities.
