Sammilito Islami Bank Launches Account Opening Campaign

A month-long campaign for opening current and savings accounts has been launched at First Security Islami Bank, a subsidiary of Islami Bank PLC, starting from Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

The campaign was inaugurated at the bank’s corporate branch by Md. Shaukatul Alam, Managing Director (Acting) of Islami Bank and Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, as the chief guest.

The event was presided over by Muhammad Badiuzzaman Didar, Administrator of First Security Islami Bank and Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank. Md. Moksuduzzaman, Administrator of Global Islami Bank and Director of Bangladesh Bank, spoke as a special guest.

Among others present were Associate Administrators of First Security Islami Bank and Additional Directors of Bangladesh Bank Bishwajit Kumar Dey, Muhammad Ansarul Kabir, and Mohammad Faisal Khan as well as Md. Omar Faruk, Associate Administrator and Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank, along with executives, officials, and customers of the bank.

In his speech, chief guest Md. Shaukatul Alam said that Islami Bank is the only state-owned Islamic bank in the country. He assured that customers’ deposits in the bank are completely safe and secure. He urged customers to confidently carry out transactions and avail all types of banking services without concern.

He also instructed bank officials to ensure more sincere and high-quality customer service.

In his presidential remarks, Muhammad Badiuzzaman Didar stated that customers are the driving force of the bank. The campaign has been organized to further strengthen the relationship between the bank and its customers.
