Russia to Offer 200 Scholarships for Bangladeshi Students

The Government of Russia has announced 200 fully funded scholarships for Bangladeshi students for the 2026–2027 academic year, opening new opportunities for higher education in one of the world’s leading academic destinations.

According to the Russian House in Dhaka, the scholarships will be available for Bachelor’s, Specialist, Master’s, Residency Training, and PhD programs across a wide range of disciplines. The initiative aims to strengthen educational cooperation between Bangladesh and Russia while introducing Bangladeshi students to Russian academic excellence and cultural heritage.

Interested applicants can apply online through the official portal https://education-in-russia.com. The application process is now open and will continue until January 15, 2026. Applicants must ensure that all academic certificates and transcripts are authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, and their passport remains valid for at least 18 months beyond September 2026.

After completing the online application, candidates must submit a printed copy of the application form along with attested educational documents, a passport photocopy, a medical certificate, a signed personal data consent form, and one passport-sized color photograph to the Education Department of the Russian House in Dhaka.

For further guidance, students may visit the Russian House in Dhaka between Sunday and Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additionally, a seminar titled “Higher Education in Russia” will be held on October 23, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Russian House to provide detailed information on study opportunities, programs, and admission procedures.

Russian higher education offers students not only advanced academic training but also exposure to diverse cultures, global research environments, and international networks. Universities in Russia are globally recognized for their excellence in science, engineering, medicine, and the humanities, making them an attractive choice for aspiring scholars worldwide.

For any inquiries, students can contact Syed Bazlul Hasan Rajib, Head of the Education Department at the Russian House in Dhaka, located at 42, Bhasha Shoinik M.A. Matin Road (Road 7), Dhanmondi R/A, Dhaka-1205. Mobile: +880 1817-294595

This scholarship initiative is seen as a significant step toward expanding academic collaboration and helping Bangladeshi students gain global exposure through quality education in Russia.
