BM Desk : The capital’s market has a strong supply of vegetables; thus, costs have dropped by 10 to 40 taka per kg, which has helped the general public. But the contrary is true in the markets for fish and chicken, where prices have gone up by 10 to 60 taka per kilogram.
On Friday morning, June 20, while touring the Taltala and Agargaon markets, this image was captured. Prices for the following items are listed: sajna data for 100 taka, jhinga for 60 taka, papaya for 30 taka, raw chilli for 60 taka, barbati for 50 taka, desi patal for 40 to 50 taka, dhundul for 40 to 50 taka, chichinga for 50 taka, kachur lati for 60 to 70 taka, and kachur mukhi for 60 taka.
Furthermore, the prices of the following items are offered: 50 taka for little cauliflower, 40 to 50 taka for gourds, 60 taka for tomatoes, 120 taka for Indian carrots, 50 taka for radishes, 50 taka for local cucumbers, and 40 taka for hybrid cucumbers. Each piece of red spinach costs 10 taka, a gourd costs 30 to 40 taka, two kale stalks cost 20 taka, a poon spinach costs 30 taka, and two data spinach stalks cost 20 taka. Indian onions cost 45 taka per kilogram, local onions cost 55 taka, and potatoes cost 25 taka.
In the poultry market, Sonali Cock chicken is priced at 330 taka per kg, Sonali Hybrid at 290 taka, red layer at 310 taka, white layer at 300 taka, broiler at 160 taka, and local chicken at 660 taka per kg.
A rise has also been noted in the fish market. Hilsa is being sold at Tk 2,600 per kg, 700 grams of hilsa at Tk 2,400, farmed hornfish at Tk 300 to 400, domestic hornfish at Tk 1,000, Rui at Tk 350 to 450, domestic magur at Tk 800 to 1,000, Mrigel at Tk 350 to 400, farmed pangas at Tk 200 to 230, shrimp at Tk 800 to 1,200, Boal at Tk 600 to 800, large katal at Tk 400 to 550, poa at Tk 350 to 400, pabda at Tk 400 to 450, tilapia at Tk 220, koi fish at Tk 220 to 230, Mala at Tk 500, batasi tengra at Tk 1,300, tengra fish at Tk 600 to 800, kachki fish at Tk 500, and panch mishali fish at Tk 220 per kg.
In the meat market, you can buy beef for 780 to 800 taka, beef liver for 800 taka, head meat for 450 taka, drumstick for 350 to 400 taka, and mutton for 1,200 taka per kg. In the rice market, you can buy mini ket for 82 to 92 taka, Nazirshail for 84 to 90 taka, chickpeas for 110 taka, and khesari dal for 130 taka per kilogram. In the egg market, you can buy red eggs for 130 taka per kilogram.
