Listed ceramics manufacturer RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) Limited has suspended operations at two of its four tile production lines, with one shut down due to low gas pressure and the other undergoing maintenance.
According to information from the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the company resumed operations at production line-4 after completing maintenance, while production line-3 was temporarily shut down on October 14 due to inadequate gas pressure.
The company’s tile factory has four production lines. Production lines 2 and 4 were taken offline for maintenance on August 25, while lines 1 and 3 remained operational. Following the completion of maintenance, line-4 resumed production.
However, the gas pressure shortage forced the company to suspend operations at line-3, leaving only lines 1 and 4 operational. Line-2 remains closed for maintenance.
The company said production at the suspended lines would resume once adequate gas pressure becomes available. It also said further updates would be provided in due course.
