As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Pubali Bank PLC—one of Bangladesh’s leading private commercial banks has handed over a microbus as a gift to Mugda Medical College Hospital and inaugurated a bank collection booth and an electronic booth. Habibur Rashid Habib, MP, State Minister for Railways and Road Transport & Highways Division, attended the event as Chief Guest held at the hospital’s conference room. Special Guests included Mohammad Ali, Managing Director of Pubali Bank; Dr. Md. Mosharraf Hossain, Principal of Mugda Medical College; Dr. Muhammad Mahmud Alam, Vice-Principal; and Abu Laich Md. Samsujjaman, General Manager and Regional Head of Dhaka Central Region. Dr. Md. Mezbahur Rahman, Director of Mugda Medical College Hospital, presided over the ceremony, which was attended by Senior Officials from both institutions.
Speaking as the Chief Guest, State Minister Habibur Rashid Habib, MP, stated that healthcare is a fundamental right. He praised Pubali Bank’s initiative to enhance the quality of services at a vital institution like Mugda Medical College Hospital. He noted that the provision of the microbus and the installation of collection and electronic booths would accelerate services for patients and the general public. He expressed hope that public and private institutions would continue to undertake such welfare-oriented initiatives in the future.
In his remarks as a Special Guest, Mohammad Ali, Managing Director of the bank, said that Pubali Bank has always prioritized public welfare and corporate social responsibility. The initiative to provide the microbus and set up the collection and electronic booths was undertaken with the needs of the hospital’s patients and the general public in mind. He expressed hope that this support would help make the hospital’s service operations smoother and more efficient, adding that Pubali Bank would continue its support for public welfare activities in the future.
