Bagerhat, Correspondent: Prof. Dr. Rafiqus Saleheen has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Khulna Medical University.

He was appointed to the post for a four-year term under Section 12(1) of the Khulna Medical University Act, 2021, with the approval of the President of Bangladesh, who also serves as the Chancellor of the university.

The appointment was formalized through an official notification signed on April 12 by Deputy Secretary Rahela Rahmat Ullah of the Health Education and Family Welfare Division under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Prior to this appointment, Prof. Dr. Rafiqus Saleheen served in senior academic and administrative positions at United Medical College and Hospital.

Officials and stakeholders in the health education sector have welcomed the appointment, expressing hope that his leadership will further strengthen medical education and research activities at the university.
