Prime Bank surpasses South Asian gender participation in female representation at all levels with 24% and stands at par with global banks. The bank formed a “Diversity & Inclusion” team to create a more diverse and inclusive workplace.

This private commercial bank claimed that it has always been committed to creating a diverse workplace culture that embraces inclusivity of race, religion, and gender across all sections of the bank. The team launching ceremony was held at the bank’s own premises, Prime Tower, located at Nikunja-2.

The inauguration featured a panel discussion introducing the new Diversity and Inclusion team to employees. Key figures like Managing Director and CEO Hassan O. Rashid, Additional Managing Director Faisal Rahman, Executive Vice President and Head of Diversity & Inclusion Mahbuba Ashraf, and other high officials participated in the session as panelists.

The discussion centered on the significance of diversity and inclusion in creating a better workplace.

The CEO, Hassan O. Rashid, said, “We want to create a more balanced journey that focuses on equality in all aspects for all our employees. We are fully focused on moving forward with a progressive mindset that will entail all necessary measures and actions required for the growth and development of the organization.”

The Diversity and Inclusion team will consist of a 5-member core team, with Mahbuba Ashraf as Executive Vice President and Head of Diversity & Inclusion. During the program, she said, “Prime Bank has already made great strides in hiring female talent by exceeding Bangladesh’s current industry standard of 16% female representation, and we also want to pave the way for other banks in the industry to follow suit in taking the right actions to make the workplace better for all employees. The goal is to create an inclusive workplace culture regardless of age, religion, race, or gender.”

During the event, Prime Bank unveiled its Diversity and Inclusion policy guidelines for all employees, further solidifying their commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
