A preparatory meeting was held in Tangail on the occasion of the Great Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day 2026. The meeting was held at the District Administrator’s conference room on Sunday morning, organized by the district administration.
Deputy Commissioner & District Magistrate Sharifa Haque presided over the preparatory meeting for the International Mother Language Day.
District Administrator Sharifa Haque said that the activities and preparations of the committee taken to celebrate the Great Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day in a fair, orderly and peaceful manner with due dignity were reviewed and satisfaction was expressed with the overall progress.
The meeting called on all concerned to celebrate the Great Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day with due dignity and solemnity.
Amar sought the full presence and sincere cooperation of all concerned for the orderly, fair and successful implementation of all the programs taken on the occasion of Ekushey celebration. Local Government Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) Mahfujul Alom Masum, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Sanjoy Kumar Mohanta, Additional Superintendent of Police Md Robiul islam PPM, UNO Shahin Mia and Press Club General Secretary Kazi Jakerul Maula were present at the time.
