B Mirror Report: Prime Minister Tareq Rahman remains active in official duties even during the Eid-ul-Fitr government holidays. He is carrying out urgent government work from his residence in Gulshan, Dhaka, while monitoring the overall situation, including activities of various city corporations.
This was confirmed on Wednesday (March 18) by the Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary, Atikur Rahman Rumon.
He said that despite the Eid holiday, the Prime Minister is regularly performing official responsibilities from his residence. She is receiving updates from relevant authorities on various development initiatives, particularly the progress and implementation of canal excavation programs.
Rumon added that the Prime Minister is maintaining communication with mayors and city administrators to ensure cleanliness and is providing necessary directives.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Tareq Rahman has also discussed the overall situation of Eid travel with concerned ministers and state ministers.
Earlier, on Tuesday (March 17), despite it being a public holiday, the Prime Minister attended office at the Secretariat, where she chaired a cabinet meeting and a session of the Farmers Card Implementation Committee.
