B Mirror Report: One of the Company’s owners of Lovello Ice Cream, a well-known ice cream brand that is listed on the stock market (Toufica Foods and Lovello Ice Cream PLC), has made the decision to sell the company’s shares. The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) reports that Toufica Engineers Limited, the company’s placement shareholder, has declared its intention to sell a significant portion of its shares.
DSE data shows that Toufica Engineers Limited intends to sell a total of 3 million shares of Lovello Ice Cream. Notably, Toufica Engineers is a company whose board includes two influential current directors of Lovello Ice Cream — Shamima Nargis Haque and Ikramul Haque. As a result, general investors are closely watching this share sale announcement.
Market analysts believe that when a major entrepreneur or placement holder announces a share sale, the supply of that stock in the market increases. Although Lovello Ice Cream has shown business growth in the current fiscal year, it remains to be seen how this corporate-level transfer of shares will impact the company’s future cash flow and the stability of its stock price.
Typically, entrepreneurs or corporate shareholders sell shares to meet personal or institutional needs. According to regulations, after such an announcement, the shares must be sold in the public market at the prevailing market price within the next 30 working days. News of this share transaction involving a fundamentally strong company like Lovello has once again sparked discussion in the stock market.
