Padma Bank Hosts Financial Literacy Seminar for Youth under “Youth Festival-2025”

Padma Bank PLC has conducted a financial literacy seminar for students of the Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) under the banner of “Financial Literacy for Youth.”

This program aligns with the bank’s commitment to building financial awareness among the nation’s youth, and it was executed as part of the “Youth Festival-2025” (‘Tarunner Utshob 2025’) initiative, mandated by Bangladesh Bank.

The seminar aimed to inform the young generation about various crucial financial details, including cybersecurity and counterfeit note detection. Its primary objective was to help attendees acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to make sound decisions regarding money management, budget preparation, saving, investing, and loan repayment.

The event was held on Sunday, September 28, at the university’s building at Pragati Sarani in the capital. It was inaugurated by Chief Executive Officer Kazi Md. Talha (Current Charge) of Padma Bank. Professor Dr. H.M. Jahirul Haque, Vice-Chancellor of CUB, delivered a special address as the guest of honor. Mir Shafiqul Islam, SEVP and Head of Retail Banking & Corporate Affairs and Communication Division, along with various other officials from both institutions, were also present at the event. Students from different departments of the university participated in the seminar.
