Orion Infusion to Invest Tk20.5cr to Expand IV Fluids Production

Orion Infusion Limited has announced plans to invest Tk20.5 crore, including working capital, to expand its intravenous (IV) fluids production line in response to growing domestic demand.

In a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange today, the company said its board of directors has approved the investment, which will be fully financed through internal sources. Construction work for the expansion will begin soon at the company’s Maikuli plant in Rupganj, Narayanganj, and is expected to be completed by December 2026.

Once operational, the new facility will increase Orion Infusion’s production capacity by around 30%, allowing it to better cater to the rising market demand for IV saline and infusion products. The company projects that the expansion will generate additional annual sales revenue of Tk25.5 crore, significantly boosting its profitability.

Following the announcement, Orion Infusion’s share price rose by 3.71% to close at Tk388.8 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange, reflecting strong investor confidence in the company’s growth outlook.

In a separate disclosure, the company’s board also declared a 20% cash dividend for general shareholders for the fiscal year 2024–25. For FY25, Orion Infusion reported an earnings per share (EPS) of Tk1.72 and a net asset value per share (NAVPS) of Tk16.02 as of 30 June 2025.

The company’s annual general meeting (AGM) will be held on 23 December 2025, where shareholders are expected to approve the dividend and other agenda items. The record date for determining eligible shareholders has been set for 1 December 2025.

A concern of the Orion Group, Orion Infusion Limited is one of Bangladesh’s leading manufacturers of IV saline and life-saving infusion products, supplying hospitals and clinics nationwide.
