Northern Islami Insurance PLC, a listed company in the insurance sector, has been reclassified from the ‘Z’ category to the ‘A’ category on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
According to DSE sources, the company was upgraded due to its declaration of a 10% cash dividend for general shareholders for the financial year ended December 31, 2024. As a result, it will begin trading under the ‘A’ category from Monday, October 6.
However, due to the category change, broker houses and merchant banks have been instructed by the DSE not to offer margin loan facilities for this stock for the next seven trading days.
