Networking meeting between Bangladesh and Pakistani businessmen

BM Desk : In the areas of electronics items and intermediate industrial components, such as medications, surgical instruments, and equipment, businessmen and entrepreneurs from Bangladesh and Pakistan perceive enormous trade opportunity. Both parties are hopeful that cooperative enterprises or trade initiatives will provide significant advantages in this regard.

These were discussed on the morning of July 3, 2025 (Thursday), at Motijheel, the capital, during a networking meeting between local businesses and a Pakistani business group visiting Dhaka. The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) arranged the gathering.
FBCCI Administrator Md. Hafizur Rahman chaired the meeting. Muhammad Wasif, the acting high commissioner of the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka, was there.

FBCCI Administrator Md. Hafizur Rahman emphasized the significance of trade diversification between Bangladesh and Pakistan, stating that both nations benefit from the motor and electronics component and intermediate industrial component industries. Additionally, there is a chance to capitalize on the potential of industries like textiles, medicines, surgical products and components, etc. Additionally, he stated that the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and FBCCI will collaborate to enhance commercial ties between the two nations.

Acting High Commissioner Muhammad Wasif of the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka stated that there is a lot of room to grow trade and investment between Bangladesh and Pakistan, saying, “I hope that networking programs between entrepreneurs of the two countries will continue to explore new areas.”

Business officials from both nations at the time indicated a desire to increase trade in the areas of electrical products, textiles, and intermediate industrial components, such as equipment, medications, and surgical supplies.
Business leaders, FBCCI International Affairs Wing Head Md. Zafar Iqbal ndc, FBCCI Secretary General Md. Alamgir, and former FBCCI Director Nasrin Fatema Awal were also in attendance.
