The autocratic circle is still trying to destabilize the country – Nahid

A Based Panchagarh Correspondent: National Citizens Party (NCP) convener Nahid Islam said that the autocratic Sheikh Hasina government, due to being in power for 15 consecutive years, brought the country to the knees of India and took away the constitutional rights of the common people, including voting rights, on the bad advice of the Indian government from Delhi. Along with that, the autocratic Sheikh Hasina has silenced those who spoke against the policies and regulations imposed by the Indian government by imprisoning and murdering them. Due to which the leaders and government bureaucrats of the unilaterally fallen Awamilig in the country have done business in interest, bribery and looting. They have tried to create an anarchy like Sri Lanka by smuggling crores of the country’s money abroad and destroying the economy. But the students and the public of this country did not allow the dictatorial government to fulfill that desire. That is why the movement to overthrow the dictatorial government started in July 2024 from the movement against the quota system amendment since 2018. To suppress the movement, the police opened indiscriminate fire on the orders of the dictator Sheikh Hasina and her government. Thousands of fresh lives including Abu Sayeed in Rangpur, Rajdhani Mughd and others died without any hindrance in the police gunfire, proving that the students and the public of this country will not accept any dictatorial rule. Being forced to a great extent by that movement, the dictatorial Hasina hastily fled on August 5, 2024, and we have gained independence once again. But even though the dictatorship has fled, their perpetrators still have the will to make the country exist. He said, “We urge everyone to be vigilant so that no more dictators, looters, corruptors and murderers come to power on the Bengali soil soaked in the blood of our martyred brothers and sisters in the July Revolution Movement.” He said the above while speaking as the chief guest at a road meeting in Panchagarh on Thursday (July 3/25) in the late afternoon.

At that time, NCP’s northern region chief organizer Md. Sarjis Alam, southern region chief organizer Md. Hasnat Abdullah, senior joint convener Samantha Sharmin, senior joint member secretaries Tasnim Zara and Nahida Sarwar Niva, chief coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari and leaders of various districts and upazilas were present.

After the road meeting, NCP convener Nahid Islam left for Tentulia with the leaders and workers. At 8 pm, he exchanged greetings with the general public after a brief road meeting at the historic Tentultala of the Chourasta Bazar in Tentulia Sadar. During this time, he listened to the public in a private conversation and listened to their views on the country’s demands after the July Revolution and promised that the NCP leaders would work in that direction.
