NCC Bank has recently hosted the mark of its Islamic Banking Window at the Kawranbazar, Panthapath, Uttara, Mirpur & Banani Branch with the aim to expand its services based on Islamic Shari’ah. The formal inauguration of these five Windows was recently carried out by the bank’s Deputy Managing Director Md. Zakir Anam. At the event, SEVP & Head of Business & Branch of Kawranbazar Branch M. M. Emranul Hoque; EVP and Chief of Islamic Banking Division, Abul Quasem Md. Safiullah; EVP & HoBB of Uttara Branch Kartick Sen; EVP & HoBB of Banani Md. Amzad Hossain; EVP and Head of BoB of NCC Islamic Banking Gulshan Branch Md. Masudur Rahman; SVP & HoBB of Panthapath Branch Muhammad Shahidul Islam and SVP and SVP & HoBB of Mirpur Branch Md. Mahfuzul Islam along with other concerned officials of those branches, were present.
Md. Zakir Anam, Deputy Managing Director of the Bank, stated that considering Bangladesh’s socio-economic landscape, NCC Bank has actively rolled out Islamic banking services. They have already opened two full-fledged Islamic banking branches—in Gulshan, Dhaka and Muradpur, Chittagong. Islamic banking windows have been introduced in 32 conventional branches as an initial phase, and NCC Bank plans to implement these windows in all its branches and sub‑branches over time, he added. He emphasized that all Islamic banking operations are carried out under the strict supervision of the Shariah Supervisory Committee, ensuring full compliance with Islamic law to meet customer expectations. Finally, he extended an invitation to businessmen, professionals, and entrepreneurs to leverage NCC Bank’s growing suite of Shari’ah‑compliant banking products and services.
