NCC Bank Embarks Islamic Banking Window at Motijheel Main Branch

NCC Bank has recently hosted the mark of its Islamic Banking Window at the Motijheel Main Branch with the aim of expanding its services based on Islamic Shari’ah. The inauguration in a simple ceremony was attended by the Managing Director of the Bank, M. Shamsul Arefin along with Deputy Managing Director, Md. Zakir Anam, EVP & Chief of Islamic Banking Division Abul Quasem Md. Safiullah, EVP & Head of Motijheel Main Branch Syed Sadiqur Rahman, SVP & Head of Sustainable Banking Nighat Mumtaz, SVP & Head of IT-Enterprise Application Md. Sajjadul Islam, and SVP & Head of Operations Syed Towhid Hossain.

The Managing Director affirmed NCC Bank’s dedication to fulfilling the growing demand for Islamic banking in Bangladesh. He shared that the bank has already garnered positive responses from customers since launching of its lone full-fledged Islamic banking branch. As part of its growth strategy, the bank intends to expand by opening more Islamic banking branches apart from introducing Islamic Banking Windows gradually in its all branches initially major 32 branches. Arefin also emphasized that the bank is committed to meticulous compliance of Shari’ah guidelines through the oversight of its Shari’ah Board. He encouraged businessmen and customers to partner with NCC Bank for Islamic Banking and avail seamless service on its digital platform.
