NCC Bank distributes free agricultural materials in two districts

NCC Bank Limited distributed agricultural materials at no cost among 1000 marginal farmers in Shariatpur and Madaripur as part of its corporate social responsibility on Saturday, August 19, 2023. The bank expects this initiative to increase agricultural production in these districts.

The distributed materials include various types of seeds, fertilizer, and pesticides. The Managing Director and CEO (C.C.) of NCC Bank, M. Shamsul Arefin, presided over the ceremony.

In Naria Upazila, Shariatpur, Naria Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shankar Chandra Vaidya attended the ceremony as chief guest. He handed over the materials to marginal farmers. In addition, seeds and fertilizer were also distributed among marginal farmers at Hazi Shariatullah Hafizia Academy of Bilaspur Union of Zanjira and Chermal Gaon Hign School of Damudya Upazila of the district.

In the Madaripur Sadar, the CSR program’s Deputy Commissioner of Madaripur, Mhoammad Murufur Rashid Khan, was present as Chief Guest. The Mayor of Madaripur Municipality, Md. Khalid Hossain Yead, and the Executive Director of the Society Development Committee, Kazi Ashraful Hasan, were present as special guests and distributed various types of agricultural goods.

SEVP & CFO Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, SEVP & Company Secretary Md. Monirul Alam, SVP of CRM Division Muhammad Shahidul Islam, and VP & Head of Security & Logistics Md. Ghalib Asadullah, along with Managers and Officers of Faridpur, Madaripur, and Naria Branch of NCC Bank, were also present in the ceremony.

Deputy Commissioner of Madaripur Mhoammad Murufur Rashid Khan and Naria Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shankar Chandra Vaidya considered this agriculture material distribution a great initiative of NCC Bank and said that marginal farmers of Shariatpur and Madaripur districts will be benefited through these activities and that it will be helpful to develop the economic condition of the farmers in this area also.

Managing Director and CEO M. Shamsul Arefin said that NCC Bank is working for the food security of our country, as announced by the Hon’ble Prime Minister. In this continuation, NCC Bank is supporting marginal farmers to cultivate a single inch of land across the country as a part of its social responsibility. He hoped that NCC Bank would provide agricultural machinery as well as advanced technology equipment to the farmers at no cost to develop our total agricultural production in the near future.
