Recently joined as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Janata Bank Plc. Nazbal Islam. Earlier he was General Manager at Sonali Bank Plc.
His banking career started by joining Sonali Bank as a Senior Officer (Financial Analyst) in 1995. At different stages of his career, he has served in various branches and offices of Sonali Bank. As DGM, Foreign Exchange Corporate Wing and as GM, Ramana served as Head of Corporate Wing with skill and reputation.
Md. Nazrul Islam graduated from Dhaka University with Honors in Accounting and Post Graduate Degree. Later he obtained MBA degree in finance and banking. He is the Departmental Associates of the Institute of Bankers Bangladesh. Attended various training courses and workshops on banking. He was born in 1966 in a noble Muslim family in Khilgaon, capital Dhaka. His father md. Abdur Razzak and Mata Mahmuda Begum.
